Robert Spreitzer Obituary

Robert Terrence Spreitzer
Born: February 24, 1944 in Joliet, IL
Died: June 14, 2021
Robert Terrence Spreitzer- passed away peacefully with his loving family by his side. Age 77 years.
Survived by his wife of 50 years, Jeannette (nee Cerven), children Sarah (Rohit Mahajan), Anna (Terrell Jenkins) and Andrea Spreitzer. Grandchildren Hari and Leela Mahajan who knew him to be the world's best grandpa. As well as numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and nephews who loved their Uncle Bobby. Also surviving are his siblings Annie Cardwell (Rowan), Joe (Sue) and James (Lori).
Preceded in death by his parents Robert L. and Lorene Spreitzer and his brother John.
Proud graduate of St. Raymond's and Joliet Catholic High School, he also studied at Joliet Junior College. He served in the U.S Army from 1962 until honorably discharged in 1964 and was a Parts Manager for Hills Auto and Dupre Inc. Bob wasn't much for travel, but never missed a chance to see his grandchildren in Washington, DC, fish in Michigan, or escape the winter by going down to Florida. Braidwood Recreation Club was his second home. He often unwound over meals with his spouse and friends at the American Legion or just quietly relaxed with a book. Bob was a loving father and husband, avid fisherman and devoted grandfather whom we will miss more than he could ever know.
