Ronald Bosch Obituary

Ronald W. Bosch

Born: April 3, 1939

Died: September 2, 2016

Ronald W. "Skip" Bosch of Plainfield, formerly of Romeoville, passed away Friday, Sept. 2, at Joliet Area Community Hospice, surrounded by his loving family, including his favorite son.

Ron was born in Chicago on a sunny Monday morning, April 3, 1939. He married Noreen (nee Duddleston) on Oct. 3, 1959. Together they raised four remarkable children, Cathleen (Patrick) Miesuk of Yorkville, Victoria (Michael) Abens of Kennett Square, PA, David (Sandy) Bosch of Ann Arbor, MI and Susan Cronholm of Lockport. He was the proud grandfather of nine, Ryan, Nick and Zach Miesuk; Kyle and Kris Abens; Kelsey and Keegan Bosch; Taylor Quain and Connor Cronholm.

A veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps, Ron was a smart and caring man who loved his family, golf and a good slice of carrot cake. He also loved to learn and was proud to see all four of his children graduate from college. Family was everything to Ron. He adored his wife, was dedicated to his children and never missed a chance to see one of his talented grandchildren perform in a play or concert or compete in an athletic event.

Ron is survived by his wife, children and grandchildren; his sister, Diane Carey, of Naperville; two brothers, Ken of Naperville and Jim of Chicago; dear cousin, Beverly Riesberg of Hudson, WI; and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lucille; his beloved aunt, Loretta; and his brothers-in-law, Dennis Carey, and Bern, Pat, Tom and Jim Duddleston.

Family and friends will celebrate Ron's life from 3:00 to 6:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 5, at Mistwood Golf Club, 1700 Renwick Road, Romeoville. A memorial prayer service will take place at 4:00 p.m., followed by food and fellowship.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Joliet Area Community Hospice are appreciated.
