Sandy was a good friend at Fairmont Grade School and Lockport Township High Scchool. The last time I saw her was at the 25 anniversity class reunion. As the '64 graduation yearbook said, "She had a most distinctive voice."
As a kid, my brother, Ted Madden, used to cut Sandy's parent's lawn, which was huge!
She will be missed by all, including myseelf.
Jerome D. ("Jerry") Madden, Ph.D.

Sandy was a wonderful person. She was very helpful to me at Argonne and always had great snacks out for everyone to enjoy. May she rest in peace. I will say a mass for her on Monday.

I am sorry to hear about Sandy, my thoughts and prayers go out to her and her family. I had the pleasure to meet and work with Sandy at Argonne National Laboratory for 10 years. She always had a smile and cheerful attitude when I would see her. No matter how busy she was at work she would always make time to help you. I am truly grateful to have met such a wonderful person in my life. She will be missed…
Sincerely, Chuck Keyser

With all that maters and in time when we will feel pain and come to know sorrow, it’s clear that hearts requires time to heal. With deep sympathy, I will miss seeing Sandy at Argonne and carry her essence in memory. Leon Reed (CHICAGO, IL.)

Dearest Sandy and Family,
Before I first met you Sandy we talked on the phone. Then I finally met "the lady with the tiny" voice and quickly discovered that you had the biggest smile and an even bigger heart! Sandy, you will remain in my heart always as a shinning example of grace, courage and hope. You are a truly beautiful person and I am so grateful to have known you. My thoughts and prayers are with your family as I know their loss is great. God Bless you all and Sandy, keep on smiling on us all. Your Friend, Marge

The best measure of a person is kindness and respect for others. Sandy fulfilled both of those and more. I can't think of a kinder, gentler human being than Sandy, and I feel very privileged to have known her. You will be missed, but you will never be forgotten.

I am so sorry to see that Sandy passed away. I got an e-mail from her last yr and was surprised to hear from her. It was nice to hear from an old school mate from grade school and high school. Sandy's dad built our house in Fairmont. My prayers are with her family.

To Sandy's family, I would like to extend my deepest sympathy on your loss. I was a student with Sandy at Fairmont Grade School, and Lockport High, and also worked at Argonne. She was such a beautiful person - When I think of her, all I can see is her smile. She didn't have a mean bone in her body. Again, please accept my condolences - Marilyn (Kozak) Zeller

Sandy will always be in my heart because that's what she touched every time we were together--her smile, her laughter, her kindness is etched in my heart and mind. We were cousins and I loved her dearly and will pray to her and for her because I know in my heart that Heaven is the only place she can be for eternity. Sandy, say "Hello" to my mom and dad for me until we all meet again.
Love you, Your Cousin, Carol
