Sharon Talbot Obituary
September 4, 2007. Beloved wife of Dr. Richard C. Talbot; devoted mother of Sean, Beth (Max) Janairo, Megan (Kurt) Atchison and Casey (Jill); adoring Nana of Macilin, Emma, Wes, Hayden, Max, Vivien, and Lilah; dear sister of Marnie Lufkin, Debbie McLaughlin, Paul, Tom and Dennis O'Connell; loving aunt of Heather, Heidi, Matthew, John Paul, Mia, Kathleen, Maureen, Jennifer, Kevin, and Kelly.
Sharon will remain always in our hearts, a ball of energy and charm, fun-loving and full of laughter. She lived for her family, especially the grandchildren she loved to spoil. Her many friends will remember fondly her thoughtful and caring heart. Miraculously, she fought off pancreatic cancer for six years, making it possible for her to attend her daughter Megan's wedding, travel the world, and introduce her newest grandchild to the "Wonderful World of Nana."
Sharon was an extraordinary minister of the Eucharist at St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, a member of the Hospice Guild, Women of Rotary, and the Visitation and Aid Society of Joliet which was founded by her husband's grandmother, Nellie Talbot.
Funeral from the Blackburn -Giegerich - Sonntag Funeral Home, 1500 Black Rd., Joliet, Friday, September 7, 2007 at 9:00 a.m. to St. Paul the Apostle Catholic Church, 18 Woodlawn Ave, Joliet, IL, for Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00 a.m. Interment at Hills of Rest Cemetery (Woodlawn II), 22500 West Jefferson Street , Joliet . Visitation Thursday, September 6, 2007 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorials to Joliet Area Community Hospice (joliethospice.org) and the Society of the Little Flower (littleflower.org) would be appreciated.

As we have waived so many times throughout the years to Sharon as she ran (and most recently walked) by, her always smiling face will truly be missed in the neighborhood.
