Died: July 25, 2018

Susan E. Paloma, age 59, a resident of Plainfield, IL, passed away suddenly on July 25, 2018. She was born on January 9, 1959 in Joliet, IL.

Sue is survived by her best friend and devoted husband of 13 years, Brian Paloma; her dear sister, Vicky (the late Bernard) Hollister of Geneva, IL; her parents-in-law, Blas and Adrienne Paloma; her sister-in-law, Adele Paloma, Lisa Paloma; and brother-in-law, Joseph (Christine) Paloma; her dear nieces and nephews, Jennifer Goben, Sherry, nee Goben (Paul) Rogers, Dave (Juanita) Benavente, Theresa (Dan) Guimeny, Michael (Jaime) Benavente Sarah Paloma and Samantha Paloma; as well as her numerous cousins and many great friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Marilyn Hunter; and her brother-in-law, Louis Paloma.

Sue was a graduate of Joliet Township High School Central, Class of 1977. In 1984, Sue began her career with the United States Postal Service. She was a fixture at the Naperville-Washington St. location and greeted every customer with her warm smile. She loved to be behind the wheel of her many Ford Mustangs, especially her ivy gold 1967. Sue will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

For those who would like to leave a lasting tribute to Sue's life and her love of animals, memorials to Wags 2 Wishes Animal, 23907 W. Industiral Dr N. Plainfield, IL 60585 would be greatly appreciated.

Visitation will be Sunday, August 5, 1:00 until 5:00 PM at the Overman-Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, corner of Routes 30 & 59, Plainfield. A Celebration of Sue's life will follow at 5:00 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be Monday, August 6, at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, Elwood.

Brian and family, I am so very sorry. I loved getting to know Sue and Brian. Sue made my day with her beautiful smile. We shared our love for the Cubs, Babes hot dogs and just enjoyed talking about random things. Sue will be defiantly missed. She was a strong women with courage you don't see very often. Thoughts and prayer to all.
