Vera Harris Obituary
Vera L. Harris, "Big Mama", age 91, died Saturday, November 28, 2015. Born in Laurel, Mississippi, she was a resident of Joliet since 1955.
Employed by the Joliet Elks Club #296.
Preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, one sister and one son.
Survived by nephews, John Merrell, William (Marilyn) Merrell, Cleteis Toombs and Kenneth (Kimberly) Toombs; niece, Elmyria Toombs; and a host of friends.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am. Friday, December 4, 2015 at Shiloh M.B. Church, 18101 West Oak Avenue, Joliet, Illinois, 60441. Visitation at 10:00 a.m., Interment Monday, December 7, at Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, 20953 Hoff Road, Elwood, Illinois 60421, leaving from Range Funeral Home at 2:00 p.m. Reverend Richard House, Officiating.
