Wayne Charles Weimer passed away suddenly at his home in Streamwood, Illinois on Monday, November 13, 2017 at the age of 27.

Wayne is predeceased by his father, Wayne Ronald Weimer; and great grandmother, Naomi Ellena.

Wayne is survived by his loving wife, Cyndi Francois, of six weeks. They were married in Woodstock, Illinois on September 29, 2017.

Wayne is lovingly remembered by his wife, Cyndi; mother, Christy Mair; sister, Victoria Salvage; grandparents, Ruth and Ronald Weimer, Priscilla Lynch, Robert McLaughlin; great grandfather, Glenn Ellena; many loving nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles and other relatives.

Wayne was born in Joliet, Illinois July 27, 1990. He graduated from Plainfield Central High School in 2008 and went on to earn a bachelor's degree in environmental biology from Eastern Illinois University in 2013. During his college years he enjoyed participation in choir, assistance with managing the reptile lab, and many extracurricular activities and volunteer work through his fraternity Sigma Alpha Epsilon. He interned and worked as a zookeeper for Franklin Park Zoo Boston and Brookfield Zoo. He was currently employed at Sears Corporate in Hoffman Estates.

Wayne had a passion for animals, especially cats, and shared two of his own with his wife named Icicle and Goose. He enjoyed discovering new music, playing the guitar and singing, playing video games, trying new food and craft beer, traveling, hiking, and always curious about science and nature. He loved spending time with his family, friends, and pets. Friends and family describe Wayne as generous, caring, funny, goofy, fun, quirky, selfless, smart and talented. He loved to sing and cuddle with his cats and family dog Yoshi.

Visitation will be held at Overman Jones Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 15219 S. Joliet Rd. Plainfield, IL 60544 on Friday, November 17, 2017 from 3:00 to 8:00 PM. A funeral service will be held at the same location on Saturday, November 18 at 10:00 AM. Inurnment will be held at Plainfield Township Cemetery on a future date TBD.
