On May 13, 2025, surrounded by his family, Alan Dale Wagenschutz Sr., passed away at Munson Medical Center in Traverse City, Michigan. He was born on January 21, 1962 to Ronald & Patricia (Titus) Wagenschutz in Kalkaska, Michigan. As a child & teen Alan loved spending his summers working & playing on his grandparent's farm. He was a United States Army veteran. Alan was a Loving Husband, Father, Papa, Brother, Uncle, Nephew, & Cousin. Family meant the world to Alan. He & his wonderful wife Linda, raised their children & grandchildren to love & help one another, and they showed them that love & devotion to family is essential in life. He had a passion for gardening & teaching his grandchildren about nature. He encouraged them to use their imagination & loved listening to their wonderous stories. Being a Father & Papa was his proudest achievement. He was a true friend & the best brother three sisters could ever have.
He is survived by his loving wife Linda Wagenschutz, his five loving children, Robin (Barb), Vanessa, Alan Dale Jr. (Kendra), Ethan, & Wyatt (Tammy); His nine precious Grandchildren who knew him as Papa DJ, Brittany, Gabe, Mikah, Alex, Wyatt Jr., Zachary, Lizzie, & Kaleb; His Sisters Katrinka (Duane) Logan, Weisa Wagenschutz, & Rhonda DeBolt; Aunt Deborah (Mike) Parylak; Uncle Joseph (Kathy) Titus; & many nieces, nephews, & cousins.
He was preceded in death by his Parents, & Brother-Ronny Wagenschutz all of Kalkaska. Grandparents Russell & Florence Titus of Tustin; & Grandparents Clyde Wagenschutz & Nellie Bartholomew of Kalkaska; Uncle Russ (Judy) Titus of Kalkaska.
A celebration of life memorial will be held at 2 p.m. July 20, 2025 at the Wagenschutz home in Tustin. Alan will be greatly missed.
