John "Jack" Carl Frueh, Sr.
Grand Rapids, MI
04/04/1934 - 09/09/2025
John "Jack" Carl Frueh Sr., age 91, of Grand Rapids, MI, went to be with the Lord, unexpectedly on Tuesday, September 9, 2025. He was the only child born to the late Carl and Elfrieda (Mudrich) Frueh, on April 4, 1934, in Grand Rapids, MI. Jack graduated from Creston High School with the class of 1953. He drove many years for Brinks Security and worked at various companies before finding his path at Rapistan Conveyors where he retired. On August 3, 1990, Jack married the love of his life, Delores "De" Bekins.
In his younger years he was a volunteer for the Kent County Sheriff's Posse. Jack was a beekeeper for many years, and an avid outdoorsman who loved boating, canoeing, trapping, hunting, fishing, gardening and bowling.
Survivors include his children, Linda (Dan) Smith, Marcia (Tim) Harris, John Jr. (Sandy) Frueh, Barb (Don) Marsh, and Jim (Beverly) Frueh; 11 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; De's children, Randy (Chin) Bekins, Rick (Karen) Bekins, Earl (Deb) Bekins, and Melissa (Sam) Davis; 13 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren on De's side.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Delores "De" Frueh; his first wife and mother to his five children, Joan Elaine Griffin; and his parents.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be given to Berlin Baptist Church.
Burial arrangements were handled by Beuschel Funeral Home.
