Brenda Rose Obituary

Brenda Sue Rose, 65, Monticello, passed away on Monday, April 5, 2021, at IU Health Arnett Hospital in Lafayette.

She was born on Dec. 8, 1956, in Lafayette to Donald and Patricia (Dexter) Jarrard. Her mother later married Lloyd "Bud" Kelley. They are all deceased. On Aug. 8, 1987, she married Paul Rose in Lafayette and he survives.

She was a graduate of Lafayette Jefferson High School in Lafayette and was a homemaker. She played BINGO at the Eagles, Knights of Columbus, any place that was open, and she also liked scratch off tickets. She enjoyed needle point and sewing and liked to make dresses. She liked gardening and loved her flowers. She attended bible study over Amazon Alexa with her husband. Brenda never knew a stranger. Her goal was to live long enough to meet her great-granddaughter which she accomplished. Most of all, she cherished her family, especially her grandchildren.

She was a member of Monticello Christian Church.

In addition to her husband, Paul, Monticello, she is survived by two children, Natasha (Mark) Lock, Monon and Erica (Ed) Anderson, Frankfort; six siblings, Don Jarrard, Monticello, David Jarrard, Lafayette, Jackie Jarrard, Lafayette, Mark E. (Jo Ellen) Kelley, Monticello, Julie Jarrard, Lafayette, and Jeff (DyAnna) Jarrard, Logansport; eight grandchildren, Natalie (Cody) Johnson, Seth Mullis, Hope Lock, Monica Sharp, Emma Novaski, Tatyana Escalante, Tylor Escalante, Trent Anderson; and great-granddaughter, Ember Johnson.

She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jana Talbert; two sisters, Jodie Linback, and Angie Rose; and grandchild, Dylan Mullis.

Visitation will be Saturday, April 10 from 11 a.m. until the time of services at 1 p.m. celebrating Brenda's life at Monticello Christian Church with Pastor Rick Faler officiating.

Memorial contributions may be given to the American Lung Association or Monticello Christian Church. Envelopes will be available at the church.
