Jesse Dillon Obituary

Jesse Randall Dillon, 64, St. Augustine, Fla., passed away on Aug. 21, 2025, in St. Augustine, Fla.

He was born Nov. 17, 1960, in Rensselaer, to the late Byron Jesse Dillon and Darla (Jones) Dillon Haas. His mother survives in Ft. Myers, Fla.

Also surviving are his daughter, Destiny Dillon, and her mother, Cyndi Dillon, both of Mishawaka; brothers, Benton Erb, Japan, Thomas Erb, Big Pine Key, Fla., and Jeffrey Dillon, Logansport; former step-brother, Steven Erb, Morganton, N.C.; and former step-sister, Susan Erb, Monticello.

He lived in Wolcott during his early childhood and moved to Monticello in 1968.

He graduated from Twin Lakes High School in 1979. He was a captain on his high school swim team. He set a school record in the 100-yard butterfly and received the team's Mental Attitude Award. He also ran track and cross-country. He loved performing and was in multiple high school plays and was a member of Speech Club, competing in regionals in the Dramatic Duo category.

He had lived in St. Augustine, Fla. for many years. Prior to moving to St. Augustine, he had lived in Key West and in Lafayette and Logansport.

He worked as a server at OC White's Seafood and Spirits and at Meehan's Irish Pub and Seafood House, both in St. Augustine. He had previously worked as an open-mic host at Harpoon Harry's in Key West.

His true love was music. He was a singer-songwriter, and he enjoyed playing guitar and singing at local venues wherever he lived.

A private celebration of life was held in St. Augustine, Fla.
