Minnie Rayburn Obituary
She was born in Monon on Nov. 1, 1927, the seventh of eight children of Lulu Bessie (Helfrich) Christensen and Harry Chris Christensen. On April 23, 1950, she married Norman Earl (Bud) Rayburn. He passed away Oct. 15, 2002.
She is survived by her children, Debra (Deb) Miller and Doug Rayburn; her grandchildren, Alicia, Matthew (Matt), Alexandra (Alex) and Kate; three great-grandchildren, Lilah Rose Miller and Opheliah Jade Fern Spillar, Granger Nelson Miller; and many nieces and nephews.
Her brothers and sisters all passed before her: Jim, George Russell (Rut), Lulu M (Luo), Robert (Bob), Elizabeth (Betty), Mary Jane and Don.
Visitation will be Saturday, July 12 at the Fred L. Miller Memorial Chapel at the Roscka Roth & Clapper Funeral Home in Monticello from 1 p.m. until time of services celebrating Minnie's life at 3 p.m.
Interment will follow at Hughes Cemetery in Monticello.
Memorial contributions may be made to Traders Point Christian Church (specify children in memory of Minnie Rayburn).

Dear Debbie & Doug: I am sad for you that my aunt Minnie has passed through to her reward, but knowing aunt Minnie she is already rejoicing with her family who have been waiting. I have fond memories of times with her and uncle Bud as a young boy visiting and doing things with her & Bud and my parents George and Maxine. Best wishes to you always. I will be in Monticello in August to preach at the Monticello Christian Church and then to do a graveside service for my mother that afternoon August 17th. Mom passed October 14th of 2024 at the age of 99. It has taken us quite longer than we had wished to honor mom's passing but finally have been able to arrange for Bill and I to both be there.
