Ruth Davis Obituary
Ruth was born in Indianapolis on Nov. 27, 1923, a daughter of the late Paul and Hazel (Alley) Allen.
For 31 years along with husband Reverend Maurice Davis, Ruth served as a minister's wife and was also involved in children's choirs, the church choirs, and was a great pianist in several Christian churches at Homer, Marion, Monticello, Bloomington, Indianapolis, Chalmers, Clinton, and Westfield retiring in 1987.
Survivors include her sons, Paul (Neta June) O'Brien and Roger (Martie) O'Brien; grandchildren, Randy O'Brien and Mike (Justine) O'Brien; seven great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years, Maurice Davis; her parents, and her sister, Lois E. Davis.
Family and friends will gather for visitation on Friday, Sept. 1 from 11a.m. until the time of her funeral service at noon at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Care, 125 W. Sycamore St., Zionsville.
Burial will immediately follow the service at Round Hill Cemetery in Indianapolis.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th St. Suite 100, Indianapolis, Ind., 46278 or Robin Run Village, 5354 W. 62nd St. Indianapolis, Ind., 46268.
