Andrew Horvath Obituary

Horvath, Andrew

Andrew Horvath, 91, of Norwalk. Passed away October 8, 2016. Predeceased by wife Jennie Nardi Rinko Horvath. Survived by daughter Lucia Fiaschetti. Youngest of six brothers and one sister, all deceased. Uncle to numerous nieces and nephews. Friend to all.
Andy lived his life as we all should. He loved his family without limits and cared for his friends as though they were part of that family.
Growing up on the Horvath farm on North Taylor Avenue in Norwalk, he was called to service in WWII along with his brothers Joe, Paul, George, and Jim. Wounded in Germany and taken to a hospital in Paris to recover, he loved to tell how he awoke to find his brother Paul by his bedside to comfort him. Awarded the Purple Heart, he returned stateside and, like many of his generation, lived a life that was part of the fabric of America. He was an incredibly kind man who was a loving, patient husband and an even better father.
Internment will be private. A celebration of Andy's life is planned for November. To leave an online condolence, please go to www.magnerfuneralhome.com
