Barbara Bossone

Barbara Lowndes Bossone, 81, wife of the late Guido J. Bossone of Norwalk, passed away on Wednesday, July 29, 2015. Born on June 13, 1934 in Norwalk, she was the daughter of the late Asa and Catherine Mason Lowndes. Barbara was a lifelong resident of Norwalk. She graduated from Norwalk High School and went on to work for the Bundy Corporation, where she was employed for over twenty years. After her retirement, Barbara donated her time to the local AARP Chapter for a number of years. Barbara is survived by her children Marc and his wife Renee of Milford, CT, Christopher “Skip” and his wife Eileen of Fairfield, CT and Karen Geitz of Greenwich, CT. She is also survived by four grandchildren Scott, Christopher, Bobby and Steven and by her great granddaughter Isabella. In addition to her parents, Barbara was predeceased in life by her brother Edward Lowndes and her sister Catherine Cotaling. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, August 7, at 10:00 am in St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Avenue, Norwalk. Interment will follow in St. John Cemetery, 223 Richards Avenue, Norwalk. In lieu of flowers please make a contribution to a local homeless shelter or food bank of your choice.
