Charles Morrissey Obituary
Morrissey Jr.
Charles Raymond (Chip) Morrissey Jr., age 57, beloved husband of Carol Yocum Morrissey, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, May 22, 2013. Born in Bridgeport, August 3, 1955, son of the late Charles R. Morrissey, Sr. and Marie Roberts Morrissey, he had been a Fairfield and Norwalk resident for most of his life before recently moving to Stratford.
Mr. Morrissey was a Senior Engineer for the Detroit Tool and Engineering Co. of Stratford. An avid golfer, Chip was also a member of the Oronoque Country Club. Charismatic and honest, he enriched the lives of friends and family and he will be missed.
In addition to his loving wife Carol, he leaves behind his son, Sean Morrissey of Westport, a daughter, Kaitlyn Morrissey of Middletown, sisters Linda Hendricks and her husband Don of Florida and Susan Troidle and her husband Thomas of Virginia as well as several beloved nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his sister Karen Netopski.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday at 12 noon in the Lesko & Polke Funeral Home, 1209 Post Rd., Fairfield Center. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 10am until the time of services.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warriors Project, P.O. Box 758517, Topeka, Kansas 66675.

Sadly we often discover the fate of our childhood friends (and Ant Hill Mob alumni) when we Google their names, sometimes years after the fact. Chip, we'll see you on the other side! I recall that Chip seemed to enjoy his tank-driving Army specialty.

My heart goes out to you for the loss of a great husband and Dad and of course the kindest ,more generous ,friend Ever!! He will definitely be missed by everyone who has ever crossed his path.
