Christopher Ruehl, of Norwalk, CT and formerly of Suffern, NY, left the world to be with our Lord at the age of 56 on August 25 2021. He was born on March 1, 1965 to loving parents Theodore C. (predeceased) and Dorothy Ruehl.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 19 years Gill Ruehl, son Ben (16) and daughter Molly (13). He is additionally survived by his mother, his sisters, Dorothea King, Jeanette Ruehl, Valerie Williamson (Raymond), brother Theodore Ruehl Jr. (Tundi), nieces and nephew Andra Leonard (Joseph), Kasey Williamson, Arielle Adamo (Anthony), Devin Williamson, Brianna Ruehl and Alexandra Ruehl as well as many cousins, in-laws and friends that he loved dearly.
Christopher graduated from Suffern High School (1983) and Syracuse University (1989). He was a professional licensed Architect, and he has left his creative touch on many buildings. He was a devoted husband and father, and his free-time was dedicated to his son Ben's Kart racing (Ruehl Racing) and his daughter Molly's ice hockey. Christopher had the most contagious smile, a heart of pure gold and always put the needs of his family and the others in his life before his own.
A Memorial Service will be held at St. Paul's on the Green, Norwalk, CT on Tuesday September 21st at 11 a.m., followed by light refreshments in the Guild Hall after the service. We will also be gathering to celebrate his life later that same afternoon, at the Tallman Firehouse, 289 Route 59, Suffern, NY, from 5 p.m.
