Ian Anthony Accurso (4/18/91 – 4/24/25), Swanzey, NH. Ian was born in Stamford, CT, to Deborah (nee Vagnone) and Anthony Accurso. He was raised in White Plains, NY, graduated from Archbishop Stepinac High School in 2010, and later earned his undergraduate degree at Sacred Heart University in Fairfield.
Ian spent the last four years as co-proprietor and CFO of Alpine Bike Works in Killington, VT, and Keene, NH. He cared deeply about the employees of ABW and their families, building a team, and developing and fostering shared organizational goals. He supported the local mountain biking community, in particular, young riders, by sponsoring an annual Recreational Race Series at Keene Bike Park in concert with the City and BK-NEMBA. Also known as the Pump-It-Up race series, it gave Ian tremendous joy to present a new mountain bike to a lucky winner each year.
From an early age, Ian was an avid snowboarder and later enjoyed mountain biking with his Dad, who loved sharing adventures with him on the mountains of New England, as well as their annual ski trips out West.
Ian loved video games. He started programming at age 8; and as an adult, he built powerful, visually-beautiful computers for himself and others. He had a passion for German cars, and participated in many BMW forums and meets.
He was most known for his kindness, generosity, and very big heart. He had a strong sense of justice and would intervene on behalf of others wherever and whenever needed. He was hard-working, focused, loyal, witty and loved to laugh.
Ian leaves behind his many aunties, uncles and cousins who loved him dearly. Ian loved fiercely, and he treasured his friendships. He was well-loved by his parents and will be missed deeply by all.
The family will hold a private cremation service in New Hampshire, to be followed at a later date by a memorial service for his NH/VT community. A memorial Catholic Mass will be held on Saturday, June 7th, 10:30 am at St. Cecilia's Church, 1184 Newfield Ave., Stamford, CT.
