Joseph Mann

Joseph Warren Mann of Gibsonville, NC peacfully passed away June 10th surrounded by his wife and children. He was born May 9th, 1940 in Bell Haven, NC the son of Carlos Mann and Odessa O’Neal. He was a member of Gospel Tabernacle Church in Burlington, NC where Bishop Grey Hargrave is the Pastor. He was a former member of Calvary Baptist Church of Norwallk, CT where Rev. Dr. Jeffrey A. Ingraham is the Pastor. He was also President of the Gospel Chours for a number of years, served as a trustee and a working member. He formed a softball team in Norwalk, CT where they travelled and competed throughout the state of Connecticut and North Carolina. He also was in a bowling league in Norwalk, CT for many years. Joseph and his brother Leslie Mann owned a bar in Norwalk CT for over 35 years. He loved to dance, shoot pool and enjoyed travelling and spending time with his family. Joseph is survived by his wife of 52 years, Rev. Nellie Aretta King Mann, son Joseph Lamar Mann, daughter Melissa Princess Bailey wife of Lennox Bailey Jr and Trinidad Ja’nell Branand, wife of Robert Edwin Brandt Branand and grandchildren Tillaya Trinidad Bailey and Joseph Marcus Mann. Siblings Leslie Mann of Norwalk, CT and sisters Ernestine Settles of North Carolina and Esther Mann of New York along with numerous neices and nephews, country and nationwide. We will always cherish his laughter, his love, his smile, his sweet and discerning spirit, his love and devtion to his lovely wife, children and grandchildren, and his character for when he smiles his eyes would twinkle and you could see the happiness that flowed throughout his spirit. Joseph’s true authenticity and sincerity will never be forgotten and he has left all of us with great memories that will last a lifetime. Daddy Joe, Gone but Never forgotton.
