Kim Siniak Obituary

Kim M. Siniak
Feb. 17, 1959-Nov. 15, 2023
Kim Marie Siniak, 64, of Newtown, CT, passed away on November 15, 2023, after a brief illness. Born in Endicott, NY, on February 17, 1959, she was the daughter of the late Arthur and Josephine (Hughes) Balomenos.
Raised in Westport, CT, Kim was a graduate of Staples High School and Katherine Gibbs. She was employed in Human Resources at Financial Accounting Foundation in Norwalk, CT.
Kim was a loving mother, yaya, sister, aunt, and friend. She enjoyed spending time with her family in York Beach, ME, fried clams from Bob's Clam Hut, and hunting for antiques. She was a wonderfully generous and nurturing soul, who could often be found tending to her garden or cooking in the kitchen. She expressed her love through her food, and found great joy in sharing her recipes.
She is survived by her daughters, Kirstin H. and Catherine J. Siniak; her grandchildren, Kinsley, James, and Kira Francis; her sisters, Karen Langer and husband Artie, Lisa Kantor and husband David; her brother; Arthur "Jay" Balomenos Jr.; and her niece, Kaitlyn Kantor.
A memorial service will be held at a later date. In Kim's memory, donations may be made to the American Lung Association or your local animal shelter.

Kirstin, Catherine and the rest of Kim's family,
Kim was the best. She helped scores of people at the FAF, FASB and GASB and their families over the years. I am not alone in appreciating how she tended to the needs, concerns and questions of those she worked with. To me it was a testament of how she truly cared about others. Personally, Kim and I had some real great laughs over the years. She was as genuine and as fun as they come. She will be very missed. I hope your sadness will give way to fond memories and the knowledge that she touched many of us in very meaningful ways.

Dear Kim,
I will miss our chats together while working together in HR at the FAF, as well as our chats after that. Your daughters were lucky to have you and I know how much you loved them and your grandchildren.
My sincere condolences to your family. You were a valued friend and a consummate professional.
I will miss you profoundly.

Grief can be so hard, but our special memories help us cope. Remembering you and your loved one today and always.
To Kirstin and Catherine, I will always remember your Mom as a wonderful, loving and generous person. She loved you both more than you´ll ever know. And I loved her for that and for raising you both as caring daughters. Will miss you, Kim!

To Kim´s family, I worked with Kim for the past 17 years at the FASB. Kim was one of my closest friends at the organization and quite simply a tremendous professional. More importantly though, an even better soul. I know that for many of us, she will be painfully missed. I am truly sorry for your loss and know that many at the FASB are deeply touched by Kim´s passing. Godspeed to you all.
