Panagiotis Tsilfidis
Panagiotis Tsilfidis, age 86, husband of Sotiria Marmanidis Tsilfidis of Norwalk, passed away on April 25, 2018 at the Norwalk Hospital.
Born March 18, 2932 in Exohi, Kozani, Greece, he was the son of the late Georgios Tsilfidis and Anatoli Kaltavaridou Tsilfidis. Mr. Tsilfidis attended elementary school in his home town of Exohi where he later began his family and made his living as a farmer. He came to the U.S. in 1971 with his wife and two children and worked at Caprice Footwear and Nash Engineering until his retirement in 1996. He was an active member in the Pontian Society Pontos and the St. George Greek orthodox community of Norwalk since immigrating to the U.S.
He is survived by his wife Sotiria, his son George, wife Ioanna and their two sons Panagiotis and Anastasios, his daughter Anatoli, husband Vasilios Georgiades, son Kiriakos, daughter Paraskevi her husband Peter and their children Theofanis and Anatoli, also by his younger brother Konstantinos and his family. He was predeceased by his father Georgios, mother Anatoli, older brother Ioannis (Vanias), younger brother Achilleas, also by two siblings that passed away at a very young age, Ioannis and Eleni.
Services will be held at St. George Greek Orthodox Church, 238 West Rocks Road Norwalk, CT. There will be a viewing on Friday April 27 between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. in the Church.
