Reginald Cunningham Obituary

Resident of Norwalk Reginald Andrew Cunningham, of Norwalk, died peacefully on Sunday, January 17, 2016 at the age of 82. Reg was the beloved husband of Josephine (Lodato) Cunningham for over 58 years. Born in Stamford, the only son of the late Andrew Hay and Jeanie (Milloy) Cunningham, he served in the US Army in Korea, worked as a printer, and eventually retired from United House Wrecking after 30 plus years. Reg was a very active member of St. Philip’s Church, where he served as an usher and a member of the Men’s Society. He was proud of his heritage and for over 25 years enjoyed volunteering with the Round Hill Highland Scottish Games. Above all, he cherished time spent with family and loved attending his grandchildren’s sporting events and activities - all of them will remember him fondly as their biggest fan. Reg is survived by his wife Josephine, their four children: Andy (Adrienne) Cunningham, Rich (Barbara) Cunningham, Debbie (Bryan) Roddy, and Brian (Theresa) Cunningham, and 13 loving grandchildren: Amanda, Jessica, Megan, Ryan, Michael, Matthew, Carly, Emily, John, Sarah, Christopher, Julia, and Brianna, as well as brother and sister in-laws, numerous cousins, nieces and nephews. His family will receive friends on Wednesday, January 20th from 4 to 8 PM at Magner Funeral Home, 12 Mott Avenue, Norwalk. A mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday at 10:30 AM at Saint Philip Church, Norwalk. Burial with military honors will follow at St. John Cemetery, Norwalk.
