Richard Testa Obituary
Richard Alan Testa, Sr., 71, of Stamford, Connecticut, passed away on July 26, 2019, in Stamford with his family by his side. He was born in Stamford on October 5, 1947 to Sam and Ann (Rose) Testa. He attended Stamford High School and married Sharon (Dempsey) Testa on September 28, 1968. He began his career in construction as a truck driver for various local firms, started his own business Testa Excavating and subsequently retired from RRJR Construction. He enjoyed following NASCAR and boxing, playing golf and spending time with family and friends. Richard will be remembered as a loving father and grandfather, and for his big heart and a generous spirit to all who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Sharon, sons Richard Alan Testa, Jr. and wife Jess and Corey Francis Testa and wife Sonia, granddaughter Taylor Testa and grandsons Brandon and Kyle Testa, father Sam Testa, brother John Testa and his wife Robin and sister Patricia Czelada and husband Steve and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his mother, Ann Testa.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday, August 1, 2019 from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Lacerenza Funeral Home, 8 Schuyler Ave., Stamford. Interment will be private. To leave an online condolence, please visit www.lacerenzafh.com

Sharon, Richie, Corey and Family-
It is with great sadness that I learned of the death of Richie. I had the pleasure of having breakfast with him at Helen's Restaurant in Glenbrook a few days a week. I know he had a construction company which was very successful. I saw him as a gentle giant, with a sense of dry humor that would make everyone laugh in the diner especially Chris And Gina.
Upon my learning of Richie's death, at Helen's, I ordered my eggs easy-over with chilli on the side in his memory. I will miss him dearly. he always put a smile on my face.

Rit you will be sorely missed by all of us!! I'm glad we spoke last week if only for a short time in a few years. You've helped myself and my family in our business and in times of need. You have also been a great role model for myself and others in life. I had no idea Richie was your brother. I frequented the same luncheonette "Helen's" and saw him frequently. I also just learned that he did the remodel at Ox Ridge and had a tour of the stable. It was beautiful and quite a swan song for your brother. I am sorry for your loss and had I known when I recently saw you I would have done this in person. I hope you find peace in the fact that he lived a blessed life.

I feel how weak and fruitless must be any words of mine which should attempt to beguile you from the grief of a loss so overwhelming. But I cannot refrain from tendering to you the consolation that may be found in the thanks for the friendship and kindness Rit, Sr has offered to me and so many in his lifetime.
