Robert Dolan Obituary
Formerly of Norwalk
Robert C. Dolan, 71, best known as “Bob”, husband of Teri (Tremonte) Dolan, died unexpectedly on Thursday, September 25, 2014 at Midstate Medical Center. Born in Norwalk on June 29, 1943, he was the son of Evelyn (Richmond) Dolon and the late Lawrence Dolon. He was a longtime Meriden resident.
Mr. Dolan was employed by Northeast Utilities for over thirty years until his retirement. He was a veteran of the Vietnam War, having served with the U.S. Air Force. Bob was an avid fisherman and enjoyed the peace and quiet of their lake house in Maine.
Besides his wife of forty-five years and his mother, he is survived by one daughter, Jennifer Dolan and her partner Lisa Radzunas of Newington; one son, Robert F. Dolan and his wife Cortnei of Southington; he was also the proud Papa of one granddaughter, Julia Rose, who was the apple of his eye.
He is also survived by one brother, Carl Dolon and his wife Kathy of Pennsylvania; his father-in-law, and dear friend, Albert R. Tremonte Sr. of Westport; and his brother-in-law and two nieces all of Westport. He was predeceased by his mother-in-law, Estelle “Tilly” Tremonte.
Friends and relatives are invited to attend a memorial service on Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 7 p.m. at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home, 88 East Main Street, Meriden, CT. Burial will be private. Family and friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. prior to the service.

I would like to offer my deepest sympathy to Terri and Bob's family. It's so hard to believe that Bob has passed away. Dave and I have only known Bob and Terri for a short while but Dave and I have come to think of Bob and Terri as a great neighbors and friends. Dave will miss his visits with Bob and Kevin in the garage. During those visits, they guys talked about sports, politics, and just plain laughing about silly things they have done during the week. We won't be able to look at that garage without thinking about Bob. Anyone who knew Bob, realized how nice a person he was. He will be sadly missed.
