William D. Allen
William D. Allen, age 89 of Bridgeport and longtime Norwalk resident, died peacefully at the Ludlow Center in Fairfield on August 23, 2021. He was the husband of Marie (Hornyak) Allen. Bill was born in Bridgeport on August 7, 1932, the son of the late Samuel and Barbara (Czell) Allen, and lived in Norwalk for over 80 years. He was a graduate of Lehigh University and UCONN Law School and he worked as an attorney for many years. Bill served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War. He was past president of the Norwalk Lions Club, longtime member of the Fairfield County Bar Assoc. and loved playing "Frosty" for the Norwalk Choristers holiday show. He was an avid reader, loved his Lehigh, Connecticut, New York Mets and Giants and Brooklyn/Los Angeles Dodgers sports teams. In addition to his wife Bill is survived by his daughter Terese Allen and was predeceased by his son William Jeffrey Allen.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday, Aug. 31, 10:30 AM at St. Matthew Church, 216 Scribner Ave., Norwalk. In lieu of flowers donations to The American Cancer Society (www.cancer.org). For directions or to leave an online condolence, please go to www.magnerfuneralhome.com

Dear Marie and Terry I was so sorry to hear of this news, may bill Rest In Peace . I have many wonderful memories from the Richmond Hill neighbor and spending time at you home, it was always good to see you at hunky picnic although you had been missed the last few you couldn´t attend.
