Adeline Salmon Obituary
PHILLIPS -- Adeline Marie Salmon, 79, of Phillips died Saturday, May 2, 2009, at Hamilton Manor in Aurora.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Evangelical Covenant Church. The Rev. Karl Larson will officiate. Burial will be in Aurora Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Monday at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary.
Mrs. Salmon was born July 10, 1929, at Aurora to Jim and Evelyn (Morss) Reisinger.
Survivors of her immediate family include her husband, Bud Salmon of Phillips; a son and daughter-in-law, Doug and Nancy Salmon of Aurora; a daughter and son-in-law, Doris and Ross Groelz of South Lake Tahoe, Calif.; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Oren and Rosie Reisinger of Aurora, and Aaron and Mary Mae Reisinger of Grand Island; and five sisters and three brothers-in-law, Ines Oswald of Aurora, Iola Lantzer of Aurora, Mary and Ray Larson of Grand Island, Audrey and Jerry Weedin of Grand Island, and Ruth and Otis Shiller of Texas.
Also surviving are four grandchildren, Andy Groelz, Ryan Groelz, Amy Macy and Laura Fortney; and three great-grandchildren, Jack, Taylor and Bella.
Adeline grew up on the family farm west of Aurora and attended country school through the eighth grade.
She married Vernon "Bud" Salmon on July 6, 1946, in Kansas. They had two children, Doug and Doris. They farmed southwest of Aurora their entire married life.
She enjoyed raising flowers and playing cards with family and friends. Adeline enjoyed bowling for over 45 years and attending the state tournament for 40 years.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother, Jack Reisinger; and an infant sister.

It's hard to believe she is actually gone from this earth. I know she will live on in the hearts of many. My condolences go out to the family.
