Charles A. Jensen, 87, of Grand Island died Tuesday, Nov. 17, 2020, at Bickford Senior Living in Grand Island.
Services are pending with Apfel Funeral Home.

I had Mr. Jensen for English in 1965. He was an excellent teacher and a successful basketball. He was known for his integrity and high standards. His reputation was above reproach. I will always remember him as one of my most outstanding teachers. My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family Mr. Jensen. Until we meet again.

Mr. Jensen spent hours with me as a freshman at Mt. Whitney High teaching me how to shoot a jump shot. I will be forever grateful for his mentor ship. He had a tremendous knowledge of basketball and was a phenomenal teacher in the classroom. I was fortunate enough to visit him last year so I could tell him what a huge impact he made in my life. I will always cherish that time with him reminiscing about old times. Rest In Peace Mr. Jensen
