SHELTON - Dale A. Whitefoot, 95, of Shelton died Thursday, Nov. 19, 2020, at the Kearney Regional Medical Center.
A private family burial will take place in the Shelton Cemetery. Celebration of Life will be at a later date.

Dale was married to my cousin Jeanne Stubblefield. That's how I know him. We had a telephone conversation early this fall. I called him, and he answered his phone driving home from being in Kearney. I told him I would call him after he arrived home, and we had a very nice conversation. Part of it concerned a visit we planned to take place at my family's cabin at Johnson's Lake which was planned for this coming year. Dale Al was very confident concerning many things he did, or planned to do. I received a call from one of his daughters after he died, and I know he will be greatly missed many times and in many ways. His phone call to me got recorded on my phone, so I am still able to hear his voice.

We are saddened to hear of Dale's passing. He was one of a kind. Always enjoyed being around him and Jeanne. From the first time I moved into town years ago Dale made sure to introduce himself. I served on church boards with him and always looked forward to finding him in church for greetings and coffee after service. He always enjoyed having my children come out and give their sales pitch for popcorn and nuts. He made them work for it. He would let us come out and try for some Deer behind the house when my son was very young. My son was saddened to hear of Dale's passing when I told him the news. He said Dale was one of the good ones. He was right. We will keep your family in our thoughts and prayers

Dale was a blessing to this world. His greetings at church always gave us a smile. Our lives are forever touched by knowing him.

We´ve been thinking about all of you since Uncle Dale ended up in the Kearney hospital. If it wasn´t for this insidious virus he definitely could´ve made it to 100!
Dale lived a long full life but we know it´s still hard. It does make me smile to think of him getting caught up with Jeanne and Dad & Mom, Donna & Riley and Grandma and Grandpa! Take care.
