Dennis Bunde

Dennis Eugene Bunde, age 84 of Lincoln, passed away on May 5, 2025, with loving family by his side.
A Celebration of Life service will be held at St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Grand Island on Friday May 30th at 10 AM with lunch to follow. Memorials suggested to
Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson's Research and St. Paul's Lutheran Church. All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements.
Dennis was born May 4, 1941, in Revillo, SD, to parents Nalford and Leona (Bublitz-Hartsel). Later that year, they moved to a farm near Altamont, SD, where Dennis grew up and attended school through the 8th grade. He then attended Clear Lake High School and graduated in 1959. During these years, he was very involved with FFA, serving as Sentinel and President, and the Deuel County 4-H club. He then attended South Dakota State University, graduating in 1963 with a BS in Agricultural Education and minor in Agronomy.
He spent one year teaching Vocational Agriculture in Yankton, SD, and then became the County Extension Agent in Ipswich, SD. In 1968 he was hired by Dekalb Ag Service working in various roles throughout the Midwest. He retired as Regional Sales Manager from Dekalb in 2000 in Grand Island, NE. During his retirement years he worked part time for Tom Dinsdale Auto. He was also active with Kiwanis Club, serving on the Board of Directors and as President, and
Habitat for Humanity, serving on the building committee, can recycling committee, and as President.
Dennis enjoyed fishing, gardening, traveling, and playing cards-especially 10-point Pitch. He also loved Johnny Cash and ice cream, especially Freddy's turtle sundaes.
Dennis is survived by his loving wife, JoAnn; children, Janelle (Geoff) Schrof, Joel (Karah) Bunde, and Jacinda Bunde; grandchildren, Colin, Isaac, Maya Schrof, and Olivia Bunde.
He married JoAnn in 1995 and gained children, Kim (Mike) Zimmerman and Jeff (Leah) Snyder; grandson Justin (Ashley) Zimmerman, and great-grandchildren, Peyton, Carter, and Addi Zimmerman.
He is also survived by his brother, Delvin (Becky Gunderman) and sister, Eileen (Bruce) Johnson; nieces and nephews Lisa Langton, Eric (Kelly) Bunde, Brian Johnson, and Erin (Josh) Raines.
