Dennis Thute
ROSEVILLE, Calif. - Dennis Dell Thute, 71, died March 28, 2013, in Roseville, Calif.

In accordance with his wishes, he was cremated and his ashes will be scattered at sea. A memorial service will be held at Centerpoint Community Church in Roseville on April 13, 2013. Arrangements were made by Heritage Oaks Memorial Chapel, Rocklin, Calif.

Mr. Thute was born Nov. 4, 1941, in Grand Island to Richard and Kathryn (Bergholz) Thute.

He is survived by his sister, Beverly Amaral and nephew, Steven Reider of Roseville, Calif.; nephew, Thomas Amaral of San Francisco; and his aunt, Helen Margetic of Illinois, and several cousins.

He grew up in Grand Island, where he graduated from Grand Island Senior High School and was a graduate of the University of Nebraska. He was drafted into the US Army and served in Germany. He was a civilian employee at McClellan AFB for over 30 years, retiring in 1999. He spent his retirement years researching the family tree and the origin of the family name. He enjoyed going to the movies and Cornhusker football.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
