Didn't know Bob until he came to the VA Hone. Did know Georgia and met them the first day he was here.
My daughter has a little dog named Kiki that she brings up to the Home, and Bob was always so glad to see her. I printed a couple of pictures of her for Bob said she looked so much like his daughter's dog.
May God bless you at this time of sorrow. Jack A. Hann

To Georgia and Bob's family: I grew up with Bob and enjoyed him very much. We used to play together he, Carlyle Smith, and several others next to his dad's grocery store at 15th & Eddy. I lost track of Bob after we graduated from high school so I didn't know him in the last 59 years. Jerry Sweeney

Bob was my cousin. My mother and his mother were sisters. He was one year older than me so we grew up together, doing all the things young guys did in the 40's and 50's in Grand Island. Most of it our parents were aware of. Camping in a tent in Bob's backyard. Hiking up and down Woodriver. Many rounds of golf. When Bob got his drivers license we both took a trip to Denver and Estes Park. The car barely made it home. So many great memories. I will miss Bob very much. He helped make my childhood and growing up years in GI very special. God's blessings to you Bob and to Georgia and all of his family.

My prayers and thoughts are with each and everyone of you! I was so sad to hear of your loss. There are no words that can comfort your level of grief at this time. I know that we never get over the loss of our parents, siblings and children. Time only allows us to deal with it better. He knew and loved the Lord, that is our comfort. We know that he is in Heaven rejoicing in the reunion of his loved ones that have gone before him. He now can see the face of our Lord and walk with him.
God Bless and comfort you all today and the days ahead.
All my love, Kim, Chris, Kevin, Kelly and Kraig Bretz

As a kid growing up in the area that Bob lived in, he always had time to play catch with the boys either baseball or football.
