LOUP CITY -- Ivan E. Arnold, 71, of Loup City, died Saturday, Dec. 17, 2011, at Rose Lane Home in Loup City.
Cremation has been held and burial of the ashes will be at 3 p.m. Wednesday at the Kearney Cemetery. The Rev. Kenneth Hutson will officiate.
Higgins Funeral Home in Loup City is in charge of arrangements.
Ivan Eugene Arnold was born March 9, 1940, at Miller to James Vern and Hazel Marie (Havens) Arnold.
He married Emily Aboad in 1983 in Kearney.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Debra, and second wife, Emily.
Survivors include four nieces and seven nephews.
He grew up on a farm near Miller and attended Red Wing School. He lived in Miller until 1980 when he moved to Sumner. In 2001, he moved to Loup City.
He worked for the Line family and several area farmers in the Miller and Sumner area. He also did lawn maintenance throughout his lifetime. He was a member of Grace Bible Church in Loup City. Ivan loved to watch wrestling on TV and loved to hunt, fish and visit with people.
Besides spouses, he was also preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Linda Dockweiler and Shirley Tibbetts; a brother, Robert Arnold; and niece, Debra Dubbs.
Memorials are suggested to the Arnold family or donor's choice.
