James Leroy Godeker was born November 22, 1932, at Sutherland, NE, to John and Dorothy Godeker. He peacefully passed away February 28, 2025, in Grand Island at age 92.
Graveside service with military honors is 1 p.m., Friday, March 7, at Fort McPherson National Cemetery, south of Maxwell. Prior to the service, family will greet friends from 11 a.m. until noon at Odean Colonial Chapel in North Platte. The guest book may be signed online at odeanchapel.com or at Odean Colonial Chapel at C & Sycamore, which is in charge of arrangements. Memorials are to the Sutherland American Legion.
