Josh Beck, age 35, of Hampton, passed away unexpectedly Monday, February 24, 2025, at Aurora Memorial Hospital.
Funeral Services will be held at 11 a.m., Friday, February 28th, at Pleasant View Bible Church in Aurora. Rev. Bob Gannon will officiate. Interment will be in the Aurora Cemetery. Visitation will be 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, at Higby-McQuiston Mortuary in Aurora. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in care of family to be designated at a later date. Joshua Michael Beck, the son of Michael and Jona (McAlexander) Beck, was born in Papillion, Nebraska on October 8, 1989, and passed away in Aurora, Nebraska on February 24, 2025, at the age of 35.
Josh grew up in Murray, Nebraska and graduated from Conestoga High School in 2009. He then went on to graduate from Southeast Community College. He started working at Midwest Farmer's Coop in Nehawka as an applicator, to Agronomist at Farmer's Union and an agronomist at Agriland. Josh's current job was a Precision Specialist at Akrs Equipment.
Josh was united in marriage to Amanda Collins on June 5, 2024, at Aurora, Nebraska.
Josh loved fishing, gaming, trapshooting, spending time with family and especially helping Grandpa on the farm. He had belonged to F.F.A. and was always willing to support their activities.
He was preceded in death by Jerry Beck (grandpa); David Beck (uncle); Carl McAlexander (great-grandpa) and Jordan Vickinovac (brother-in-law).
Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Amanda of Hampton; stepdaughter, Bristal Collins of Hampton; father, Michael Beck of Murray; mother, Jona Beck of Murray; brother, Matthew Beck of Murray; sister, Melissa (Caleb) Schulze of Syracuse; two nephews, Marvin Schulze and Elijah Schulze, both of Syracuse; maternal grandparents, Darrel and Jackie McAlexander of Sydney, Iowa; and grandmother, Linne Schliefert of Springfield. He is also survived by mother-in-law, Deidre Johnson of Kearney; father-in-law, Clayton Grudzinski of Aurora; and Amanda's siblings, Alex (Siarra) Vickinovac of Hastings, Ben (Trudy) Cumming of Omaha, Alyssa (Chad) Veik of Clay Center, Arianna (Colton) Harvey of Aurora, Ashlynn Grudzinski of Omaha and Avery Grudzinski of Lincoln; nieces and nephews, Luke, Sophie, Natalie, Emmalyn, Jaylee and Sophia and many other family members and many friends.
