Karen M. Borke, 62, of Albion, NE passed away Monday, February 12, 2024 at the Boone County Health Center in Albion, NE.
A graveside service will be at 10:00 a.m., April 15, 2024 at Columbus Cemetery in Columbus, NE with Rev. Vern Olson officiating.

Karen Marie Borke was born on April 3, 1961, to Dale and Eleanor (Pittack) Etling in Columbus, NE. She lived on a farm until the age of 13, when they moved to Fullerton, NE. She graduated from Fullerton High School in 1979.
She and her mother did daycare for numerous families in the Fullerton area for 17 years. She worked for Wendy's, Central Cafe, and Gas-N-Shop in Central City. She was also a front desk clerk at a hotel in Grand Island for many years.
She met her future husband, Terry Borke while working at the Central City Gas-N-Shop. They were united in marriage on June 6, 2009. Karen had a great love for animals. Her last cats were Fluffy and Freckles. She cared for them greatly. Karen was always quick to show her love for others. The last years of her life she lived with chronic kidney disease and was on dialysis.
She was preceded in death by her parents and husband.
