Leila Flowers Obituary
BURWELL, Leila Flowers, 90, of Burwell died Saturday, Jan. 31, 2009, at the Valley County Health Systems Hospital in Ord.
Services will be 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at the Burwell Baptist Church. Burial will be in Cottonwood Cemetery in Burwell. The Rev. Scott Reeve and the Rev. Stan Gurney will officiate.
Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Hitchcock Funeral Home in Burwell.
Mrs. Flowers was born Aug. 22, 1918, at Thedford to James and Martha (Stoner) McCarthy.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Gadis.
Survivors of the immediate family include a daughter and son-in-law, Shirley and Duane Shermer of Burwell.
