July 2, 1938 - October 31, 2025
Marilyn A. Paustian, 87, of Lincoln, formerly of Grand Island, passed away on Friday, October 31, 2025. At GracePointe Assisted Living and Memory Care in Lincoln.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 6, 2025, from 4 to 7 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, November 7, 2025, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Grand Island. Pastor Adam Snoberger will officiate. Private family burial will be held at Grand Island City Cemetery.
Memorials are suggested to the Trinity Lutheran School. Condolences may be left at www.giallfaiths.com.
Marilyn was born on July 2, 1938, in Grand Island, daughter of John and Amanda (Kruse) Lessig. She was a lifelong resident of Grand Island and graduated from Grand Island Senior High School. She began her employment with Benjamin & Associates as a secretary for the next forty years.
She was united in marriage to Jerry "Tony" Paustian on August 21, 1971. They settled in Grand Island and raised their four children, Brian, Jill, Joyce and Julie.
Marilyn was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, where she volunteered in several roles over the years including Sunday School teacher and Stephen Minister. She was a member of Mothers of Multiples, the Liederkranz Club and the Platt Duetsche in Grand Island. Marilyn loved to spend her time reading, gardening and yearly trips to Las Vegas with her family including her cousin, Phyllis Long.
Marilyn is survived by her children, Brian Paustian, Jill (Monte) Dahlke, Joyce (Jake) Magninie, and Julie Mihm; grandchildren, Amanda Paustian, Dylan Paustian, Mason Dahlke, Hannah Dahlke, Heath Dahlke, Grayson Magninie, Leo Magninie, Hennessy Magninie; brothers, Arnold Lessig and Donald Lessig; sister, Delores Langenheder.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony on December 12, 2011; siblings, Eva Lessig, Robert Lessig, Raymond Lessig, John Lessig, Harold Lessig, and Merle Lessig; grandsons, Nathan and Wyatt Dahlke.

So sorry for your loss. Mom always talked about how much she enjoyed your trips to Las Vegas. Her final days in the hospital mom shared with us how your mom and her rode the bus to California together when they just got out of high-school. She will be glad to see Marilyn in heaven.
