Roger Friedrichsen, 70, of Grand Island, passed away on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, February 21, 2025, from 2 to 5 p.m. at All Faiths Funeral Home. Online condolences may be left at www.giallfaiths.com.
He was born on June 23, 1954, to Melvin and Mary (Miller) Friedrichsen. Roger was united in marriage to Violet (Spotted Elk), and together they shared many cherished years. Roger was once a popular member of the White Horse; although, at the time of his passing, he was celebrating 20 years of sobriety. Roger had a passion for fast cars, playing cards, and connecting with others. He worked at Ummel Tree Service for many years, and in his later years, he enjoyed being a personal chauffeur for a few close friends.
Roger is survived by his son, Roger Friedrichsen; his sister, Ruby Dorsey; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Mary Friedrichsen; his siblings, Ray, Jimmy, Melvin Jr., Barbra Friedrichsen, Joyce Ogden, and Bonnie Lechleitner.

I knew Roger for a short time while I was living at Golden Towers in Grand Island. I lived a couple of doors down from him on the second floor and he was a cousin of my former wife, Mary Lawrence. RIP, Roger. I will miss you.
