Cindy, Bob, and the rest of Ron's family---our sympathies to all of you in the passing of Ron. I knew him casually from my high school years, and he was a good person. May the memories all of you have help sustain you during this difficult time. Our thoughts, prayers, and deepest sympathies to you. Bruce

Lowenstein Family...
I'm very sorry to hear of Ron's passing...I was a sophomore at GISH when Ron was a senior and he was truly a man amongst boys, not only in athletics, but also as a mature young man. As one of only two sophomores on the varsity football team, I was a ripe target for the hazing that was commonplace at the time...but Ron would have none of it and once the other upperclassmen found out that Ron was not a fan of hazing...it stopped cold in its tracks. Ron commanded respect not only because of his superior athlectic prowness, but by the way he carried himself and the grace he showed others. I also remember how hard Ron worked on improving his GPA his senior year so that he would be eligible for college athletic scholarships.
Even though I only spent a relatively small amount of time with Ron in my life...he had a positive impact on me and I am a better person because our paths briefly crossed.
My sincere condolences to Ron's family...I know you all will carry Ron in your hearts going forward.

It saddens me to read of Ron's sudden death. I went to "Dodge" grade school with him, Barr Jr.high, and Grand Island Senior High with him. We walked to school may times together. He was to say the least quite the athlete. From 6 grade on, playing flag football. He lived 1 blk from me on South st. During winter we played many games of chess. Yes! he won most of them. See you in the future my friend.
