Sandra "Sandy" Lea Williams

February 7, 1941 - March 9, 2025

Sandra "Sandy" Lea Williams, 84 of Grand Island passed away on Sunday, March 9, 2025 at Bickford Senior Living.

Celebration of life services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Saturday, March 22, 2025 at Solid Rock Baptist Church with visitation an hour prior. Pastor Jeremy Reagan will officiate.

All Faiths Funeral Home is entrusted with arrangements. Memorials are suggested to the family's choice at a later date.

Sandy was born on February 7, 1941 in Hastings, NE daughter of Samuel Borrell and Grethel (Janssen) Forsman.

She was raised in Hastings where she graduated from Hastings High School.

Sandy was a dedicated, and hard-working employee. She began working as a carhop at Johnny's and a cashier at Allan's Grocery in high school. Sandy was employed at Dillard's for over 35 years in Grand Island and enjoyed meeting all the customers. Sandy was a member of Solid Rock Baptist Church.

Sandy enjoyed nature and the local birds and rabbits. She liked to fish and play cards. Sandy also was a skilled seamstress and wonderful baker. She shared her love of crafts with her daughters. Sandy was a kind and loving mother and grandmother. To everyone she met she was a sweet and gentle soul.

Sandy is survived by her daughters: Tina Williams of Grand Island, Connie (Mike) Fleek of Omaha, Pam (Fred) Paxton of Marquette; brothers, Stanley (Peggy) Borrell and Jerry (Patti) Borrell; stepsisters, Theresa Forsman and Rebecca Janning; half-siblings: Sam (Patti) Borrell Jr. of Az, Sharyl (Kenneth) Holthus of Ne, and Dan (Diane) Borrell of Grand Island; brother-in-law, Dennis Wilson of Oakley, Ks; grandchildren: Heather Schoenstein, Amanda (Roy) Sullivan, Seth Trotter, Brenton (Heather) Paxton, Alex (Tosha) Paxton, Mitchell (Kassidy) Paxton, Vanessa (Logen) Nelson, and Russell (Aimee) Paxton; 17 great-grandchildren and numerous extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; step-father, Norbert Forsman; daughter, Sally Lynn Williams; sisters Patty Williams and Shirley Wilson; step-sisters, Carole Aden and Brenda Kramer; half-brother, Delbert Borrell.
