William Horst Obituary

ARNOLD, William "Bill" Horst, 71, of Arnold died Sunday, March 2, 2008, at home.

Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday at First Baptist Church in Arnold, with the Revs. Irvin Jennings and Ben Eichoff officiating. Burial will be in Arnold Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Arnold Funeral Home.

Mr. Horst was born Aug. 11, 1936, at Scottsbluff to Peter and Lydia Reh Horst.

He was preceded in death by a stepson, Mitchell Marsh.

Survivors of the immediate family include his wife, Diane; four daughters and three sons-in-law, Debra and Donny Boyles of Gillette, Wyo., Julia Ann Jones of Casper, Wyo., Risa Horst Langman and David Langman of Eagle River, Alaska, and Heidi and Randy Connell of Arnold; a stepdaughter, Vangie Marsh of Austin, Texas; a stepson, Myron Marsh of Omaha; a brother, Peter Horst Jr. of Oregon; and two sisters and a brother-in-law, Janette and Ray Cawley of Virginia and Sharlene Powell of Denver.

We offer our condolences for your loss. Bill and I were classmates at Chadron as well as fellow teachers at Loup City High School. I will always remember his humor, ability to offer good advice and his gardening ability.
