Willie was born April 9, 1940, in Grand Island, NE, the loyal son of Lucille Rochlitz (Zona) and Clayton Wagner. He married the love of his life, Darla Wagner (Hagan) on July 16, 1983. Together they enjoyed the simple things in life and never took for granted the comfort of home.
Willie entered the Navy shortly after graduating Grand Island Senior High School in 1958, serving during the Vietnam War. He came home from his service and proudly worked over 35 years as a mechanic at Sears. When he wasn't fishing during retirement, he worked part time at Bosselman Tank & Trailer.
Willie enjoyed being outside, soaking up the sun, watering his grass and garden, watching the horses run at Fonner Park with his friends and family, and cheering on his beloved Huskers. He took great pride in keeping a beautiful lawn and an organized home with a motto that anything could be helped with a few twisty ties and liquid nails.
Those who cherish his memory include his children and stepchildren, Chuck Wagner, Mike Priest, Rhonda Christensen, Stacy Wagner, Sheila Kraft, Rob Wagner, Bryan Wagner, and Greg Bolz; 19 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his mother Lucille Rochlitz (Zona), father Clayton Wagner, and son Greg Bolz.
Memorials are suggested to the family to be designated at a later date.
