Perkasie - Susan J. Griesel, of Perkasie, PA, passed away suddenly on Monday, April 26, 2021, at her home. She was 67.
She was the wife of Edward Griesel. The couple had celebrated their 44th Wedding Anniversary on October 16, 2020.
Born in Philadelphia, PA, she was the daughter of the late Raymond Foehl and the late Marion J. (Bailey) Foehl Chaffee. A 1972 graduate of Girls' High School, Philadelphia, she attained her Registered Nursing Degree from Germantown Hospital Nursing School, Philadelphia, after volunteering at the hospital for a number of years.
A Registered Nurse for over 40 years, Susan worked at Germantown Hospital and later she worked in infant care at KinderCare in Chalfont, PA.
She loved animals and dogs, especially her rescue dog, "Penny". Her interests also included crafting, miniatures and ceramics, as well as lighthouses and mini-golfing. Susan was fond of traveling, particularly to Jamaica, Ocean City, NJ, on Hagey Bus tours and to Broadway shows.
Surviving with her husband are five daughters, Jessica Hager and her husband Erik, of Sellersville, PA, Jennifer Griesel and her fiancé Michael Kalinoski, of Quakertown, PA, Rachel Griesel and her husband Carlos Abril, of Madrid, Spain, Sarah Griesel and her significant other Grant Horn, of Quakertown, and Rebecca Griesel, of Perkasie; and two grandsons, Justin and Aidan.
Her Memorial Services will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, May 3, 2021, at the Bernard Suess Funeral Home, 606 Arch Street, Perkasie, where family and friends may call from 10:00 to 11:00 AM. Masks and social distancing will be required. Interment will be held privately at the convenience of the family.
