BRETT WILLIAM ANDERSON
NEWFIELD - Brett William Anderson, age 43, of Cayuta Road, Newfield, NY, died Wednesday, June 22, 2005, at Washington, DC, after becoming ill there with an apparent heart attack. Brett was born April 5, 1962 and was a longtime area resident. He was employed at Stork H&E Turbo Blade in Ithaca. He was graduated from Ithaca High School in 1980 and served in the US Marine Corps from 1981-1987. Brett was an Eagle Scout, a member of the Caroline Valley Federated Church and the Ithaca Moose Lodge. Brett was an avid bowler and sports fan who enjoyed NASCAR and football.Survivors include his sisters, Kali (Bryan) Birkes of Kosse, TX, Jodi (Ricky) Wright of Kosse, TX and Debbie (Bob) Wrisley of Newfield, NY; a uncle, Silas (Nancy) Ferguson of Cayutaville and Charles Whitmore, Jr. of N. Carolina; and an aunt, Marilyn Gee of Ithaca; a grandfather, Charles Whitmore, Sr. of Nicholson, PA; cousins, Silas and Todd Ferguson, Ginny Trask and Lori Kanellis; several nieces and nephews also survive; along with many friends, including Jean Hubbell, Joanne Specchio and John Doolittle. He was predeceased by his mother, Joyce Johnson Whitmore, who died in 1970.Funeral services will be held in Willow Glen Cemetery, 2290 Dryden Road, Dryden, at 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 28, 2005. His nephew, Rev. Brian West, will officiate. Friends are invited to call from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Perkins Funeral Home, 55 West Main St., Dryden, NY 13053. Friends who wish to remember Brett are asked to consider a memorial to the Baden-Powell Council, Boy Scouts of America, 2150 NYS Route 12, Binghamton, NY 13901.
