David Anderson Obituary
David L. Anderson, Sr., 67 of Ithaca and formerly of Candor, died Saturday, December 28, 2013 at home. He was born in Waverly, NY on December 11, 1946, the son of the late Lester A. and Marian (Slate) Anderson. David had a dairy farm in Candor and drove bus for Candor Central School. Later he drove bus for T-Cat in Ithaca. David is survived by son, David Anderson, Jr, Ithaca; daughters, April Cotter, Dover, OH and Kelly Barry, Sayre, PA and son Dylan Anderson, Berkshire; four grandchildren, Kyle, Desirea, Cody, Brandon; great granddaughter, Paisley; brother, Gerald (Pat) Anderson, Ohio; sister, Bonnie Hornbrook, Trumansburg; nieces and nephews. Calling hours will be Wednesday, January 1, 2014 from 3-6PM at Catatonk Baptist Church, Route 96 Owego Road. Funeral Service will be Thursday, January 2, 2014 at 11AM at the church, with Rev. Fred Middaugh officiating. Interment will be in Maple Grove Cemetery, Candor, NY. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to Hospice. Allen-Manzer Funeral Home of Spencer is assisting the family.

I still miss working with Dave at TCAT. If there ever was a perfect human it was Dave. I know it has been several years sense, he went with the Lord but it seems just like yesterday. God speed Dave. We will meet again.

to the Anderson Family,
I knew Dave on and off throughout the years also being from the area, most recently had the pleasure of chatting with him while he was driving for t-cat on the East Hill plaza run. As everyone said he always had a Hello for everyone and a smile. I will miss him alot.

Dave was like an Uncle to me, in fact my grandparents always referred to him as Uncle Dave. He was a great man and will be deeply missed, I have many great memories of him. My condolences to the Anderson family.

My heart goes out the Anderson Family and Friends. Dave was a wonderful guy always had a nickname for everyone. I will never forget all the fun times we had gowning up on Slate Rd, makes me laugh. Especially when he chased us around with the cow shocker. He would put us up on the cows for a ride like they were horses. "Could explain why I still am terrified of cows". God bless you and your family and give you strength during this tough time, with love and prayers.

I worked for Dave on the farm from 1965 to 1971. We milked cows, hauled manure, harvest crops and played practical jokes on each other everyday. What great memories! Put in a good word for me Dave, tell'em Uncle Al-Be will be along shortly.

I had the pleasure of working along with Dave at TCAT for six years or a little more. Every day that i would see Dave, he was always so positive with his big simile. He always said hello and would take the time to chat for a few minutes about every thing. He was such a good co worker and friend to us all here and I know everyone here at TCAT, as well as everyone else who had the pleasure of knowing Dave will always remember him for his kindness and friendship. We will miss you Dave.

The Anderson family: Dave was a very special person who was very well liked and never had a bad word to say about anybody. He was one who many looked up to very respectfully. Dave always was willing to help and just a pleasure to be around. We all will miss him dearly and we wish to convey our most sincere condolences to the family during your time of mourning.
