Jennifer Wilcox Obituary
Ithaca - Our beloved Jennifer, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, July 11 2018. She is survived by her daughter, Shannon, with whom she shared a very close and special bond. She is also survived by her brothers, David and Peter, and her nieces and nephews, Chris, Dee, Brian, Sara, Michele, Christopher, Brian, and Scott as well as several other close relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband, Porky, her parents, Skippy and Dorothy, her mother in-law Helen, her brother, Skip, and nephew Mark.
Jennifer was born in Ithaca and was an active member of the First Presbyterian Church of Ithaca. She was also former member of the Ithaca Yacht Club and Ithaca Country Club as well as a lifetime member of Beta Sigma Phi sorority. She retired from the Ithaca Police Department and was formerly employed by the Ithaca Gun Company. She was a strong and happy person who could always be found with a smile on her face. She was never too busy to help others and in addition to cultivating many friendships throughout the community, volunteered at the Loaves & Fishes in Ithaca.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, July 19, 2018 at 2 pm at the First Presbyterian Church, Ithaca. The family will greet friends prior to the service beginning at 1 pm. Private burial will be held at the Pleasant Grove Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Loaves and Fishes or the SPCA of Tompkins County.

I will always remember Jennifer for her kindness and love. I knew her in the Presbyterian Church, which I attended before moving to Florida. We frequently worked together in the kitchen. I have often thought about her. Shannon, she adored you. I don't think I ever saw Jennifer without a big smile and I smile when I think of her. Sending all the family my condolences

I remember Jennifer welcoming us to the church.
She helped us get involved in the kitchen working with shrove Tuesday flipping pancakes and making green eggs and feeding the community.
Jennifer always had a smile on her face and never let things bother her. I will miss that smile, the talks and the advise you gave me. Most of all I will miss you. You are with our father sharing your wisdom with him and watching over us.
We will miss you.

Jennifer will be greatly missed. I enjoyed working with her in our Presbyterian kitchen helping cook & serve great meals for many church events. Her spirit will always be present with us in the kitchen & throughout FPCI. God Bless.
