John Stahl Obituary
ITHACA - John Richard Stahl, 65, of 115 Haller Blvd., died Tuesday, December 11, 2007, at his home. He was born in Ithaca, son of the late Joseph and Mary Marie Stahl.
John was a veteran of the United States Army and was retired from Ithaca College, where he had worked for over 22 years. He was an avid hunter and gun collector, and was a member of the Groton Gun Club and the Immaculate Conception Church.
John is survived by his brother, Joseph Stahl of Savona, NY; his sister, Elizabeth "Betty" Landis of Pennsylvania; and nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Monday, December 17, 2007, at 1 p.m. at the Immaculate Conception Church. Interment will follow at Calvary Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday prior to the Mass from 11 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at the Bangs Funeral Home. In lieu of flowers, donations in John's memory may be made to the Immaculate Conception Church.
