Lars Kallstrom Obituary
Ithaca: Lars Robert Kallstrom Jr., 46, of Ithaca, died Wednesday, October 16, 2013, at the Cayuga Medical Center. Lars was born December 26, 1966 in Saranac Lake, NY. He graduated from Ithaca High School in 1985. He was employed as an Apartment Manager for Chuck Indelicato. Survivors include his father, Lars Robert Kallstrom Sr. of Ithaca; son, Kelsey R. Kallstrom of Interlaken; uncle, John (Mary) Kallstrom of Lebanon, NJ; aunt, Linda Carpenter of Ithaca; and cousins, Leslie Hardman, Will Carpenter, Kristin Sterling, and Erika Kallstrom. Friends may call Thursday, October 24, 2013, from 4-6 p.m. at Bangs Funeral Home. Private graveside services will be held at Pleasant Grove Cemetery on Friday, October 25, 2013. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations in Lars' memory may be made to the S.P.C.A. of Tompkins County.

A polite young man- he came to a party at my house while we were in high school, and he used his hand to hold ashes from his cigarette. It made a big impression on me.

I consider Lars a good friend his smile lit up a room. My deepest condolences go out to all who loved him. And that's many!! Kelsey know you are the best thing that Lars ever did. He loved you so much and was so proud of you. I'm so sorry to hear of Lars passing! It's such a shame to hear of another young soul taking to quickly! I remember Lars from Caroline , we would always would horse around together ...hitting each other..lol

I went to high school with Lars. A real gentleman. One time he came to a party at my dad's place, and he started to smoke a cigarette (we all did back then). Instead of just flicking his ashes on the carpet, he used his hand until he finally, politely, asked me for an ashtray. I haven't seen him since high school, but I am still sad to read about his passing. Prayers to his son.
