Schriber, Patricia

Ithaca: Patricia Schriber of Brook Drive, Ithaca passed away at home on Monday, January 24, 2011 at the age of 87. Born on June 25, 1923 in Washington, D.C., Pat was the daughter of the late James H. Stratton and Janice (Brotzmann) Bergen. She was preceded in death by her husband James C. Schriber in 1985. Pat was a bookkeeper for the Warwick Valley School District before her retirement. For the last 25 years Pat resided in Ithaca and was an active member of the Jacksonville Community United Methodist Church. She loved to spend time reading and doing crossword puzzles. Pat is survived by three children, James C. Schriber, Jr. and his wife Juana of Ithaca, Tracey W. Schriber of Lansing, and Joanne Craig and her husband Cliff of Middletown, NY; four grandchildren, James C. Schriber III, Tara McCaslin, Courtney Codichini and Saul Schriber; several great-grandchildren; as well as two sets of half-siblings, Geri Bergen, John Bergen and his wife Sharon, Bill Stratton, Teri (Stratton) Flagg and Julie Stratton. A memorial service will take place at the Jacksonville Community United Methodist Church on Saturday, February 5th at 1:00 pm with the Rev. Nelson Reppert officiating. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Jacksonville Community United Methodist Church, PO Box 224, Jacksonville, NY 14854 or Hospicare, 172 E. King Road, Ithaca, NY 14850.
