Rose Cornish Obituary
CORNISH
ITHACA - Rose Marie Cornish, age 75, of Ithaca, NY passed away peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, August 21, 2008. Rose Marie was born in Elmira, NY, the daughter of the late Avak and Josephine (Mann) Arikian. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, David Cornish; stepchildren, David Cornish of GA, Diane Struble of Claverack, NY and Carol Buchanan of NC; two grandchildren, one great-grandchild; sister, Lucille (Manuel) Panosian of Elmira; and a brother, John (Judy) Arikian of Elmira. Besides her parents, Rose Marie was predeceased by a sister, Marian Rudd. Mrs. Cornish enjoyed camping, was a former member of the Red Hat Society, Ithaca Chapter, and was a former active member of Elmira Christian Missionary Alliance Church of Elmira.
A memorial service for Rose will be held at a later date, to be announced by the family. Memorials may be made to Hospice Care of Thompkins County, 172 East King Rd., Ithaca, NY 14850. A "Candle of Remembrance" may be left for her family in obituaries at www.olthof.com.

I know that Rose Marie gave it the good fight. I am sorry to hear of her passing. I enjoyed spending some time with her through the Ladies' Red Hat Society.
